So you got the headlines from the main page. Here’s a little more about me and my journey …

I was one of the rare people that attended University to get a degree. Having moved from the Isle of Man to Wales for the sole purpose of a degree, I was quite disheartened when I only had a few lectures a week. So, I started reading and learning about property investing and I found it fascinating, and still do!

Whilst studying I bought my first property with my now husband and we added value to that property which gave us some equity to play with. Then I used that equity to buy my first rental property just before I left University. And my goodness, what a learning curve! I had bought a student HMO (house of multiple occupation) and there was a lot of learning and compliance that went with it. But I did it myself and I managed the property myself and as well as getting a degree, I also got a lot of education at grass roots level when it came to property investing.

When I did graduate, I started a career as a journalist (see more below) and after a few years I was made redundant (full story in my blog). As my income came to a sharp halt, my rental property continued to pay me every month. It was then I realised nobody would look after me financially, I had to do it. This was my turning point.

Since that turning point I now have a substantial buy to let portfolio, a lot of my properties are HMOs and in 2015 I was recognised at a national level.

Today, I'm passionate about helping others do the same.

I believe property is one of the most powerful vehicles for creating long-term wealth, but only if you make informed decisions and play the long game.
